Finding the Best Burger in Dallas

Dallas is known for its vibrant food scene, and when it comes to burgers, the city doesn’t disappoint. With so many options, the big question remains: which spot truly serves the best cheeseburger? To answer this, we’ve launched the ultimate Dallas Burger Bracket, where eight of the city’s top burger joints will go head-to-head. Over the next few weeks, we’ll assess these contenders based on appearance, ingredient quality, and, of course, taste, until one is crowned the best burger in Dallas!

Meet the Competitors

We’ve handpicked eight iconic burger spots for the showdown. From classic drive-ins to trendy burger bars, these places represent the best of what Dallas has to offer. Here’s our starting bracket:

The Rules of the Burger Bracket

Here’s how the competition works: Each week, two burger joints will face off, and we’ll evaluate them based on three crucial factors:

  • Appearance: How does the burger look? Is it as appetizing to the eyes as it is to the taste buds?

  • Ingredient Quality: From the bun to the patty, freshness is key. We’ll be taking a close look at every component.

  • Taste: The ultimate decider. Does the burger have that wow factor? Is it crave-worthy enough to leave us wanting another bite?

Each category will be scored on a scale of 1 to 5, with the winner of each round advancing to the next stage of the competition. By the end, only one will be crowned the Best Burger in Dallas.

Round 1: Angry Dog vs. Maple & Motor

Our first round featured a showdown between two beloved Dallas burger joints: Angry Dog and Maple & Motor. Both places are known for their loyal followings, and we knew this match-up would be close. Below are the consolidated scores from our panel of judges:

Angry Dog

  • Taste: 2.7/5

  • Ingredients: 3.4/5

  • Total: 3.37/5

Maple & Motor

  • Taste: 3.5/5

  • Ingredients: 3.1/5

  • Appearance: 3.0/5
