On July 20, 2026, President Donald Trump signed three (3) Presidential Proclamations imposing additional fifty percent (50%) tariffs on certain products imported from Canada. The proclamations were issued pursuant to Section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930 and are intended to address what the Administration describes as Canada’s discriminatory treatment of U.S. commerce involving motor vehicles, alcoholic beverages, and dairy products.
